Finally finished my crochet blanket!

This afternoon (it's now rather late in the evening) when I opened up Blogger to begin this post, I noticed one thing - today is my 100th post!  I was planning to show off my diary cover, but I figured I might show off something which I'd been working on for a while.

If you follow my Twitter feed, last month I posted a rather enthusiastic message late last month, raving that I'd finished it.  To be fair, I was super excited.  At long last, I can post this on my blog - I finished that crochet blanket!

I'm super excited about it - it's not as huge as I intended it to be (I wanted it to be over my head, but I when I thought about it, I wanted a blanket now not in another 6 months) but it's still pretty big.

Since the last time I posted about this, it was....

Now, as I've finished it, it's...

So it's not too much bigger, but it seems to be the right size.

I'm loving the colour combination - it's so cute!

It's so good to have it finished!  Now the weather's getting cooler, I have the coziest blanket to cuddle up into and watch bad movies under.  It's awesome.

Until next time,

  1. Oh it's beautiful! I'm so soryy for not being regular reader, I probably missed a lot of pretty thinks, but lucky for me I spotted this! It's really neat and pretty, and I'm loving the purples and blues :)

  2. Thank you so much!! So glad you managed to catch this project, it's one of my favorites =) I love the purples and blues too, turned out pretty cute for an accidental colour combination lol

23 before 23: 6 month update!

Back in August I posted about 23 things that I wanted to achieve before I hit 23 next year (read about it here). Since we're at the 6 month mark, I thought an update was in store!

Writing this post and reading over my list I'm realising how much I've got to achieve - school holidays now, time to get busy! So far I've achieved...

12. Spend a day at the beach
Check! Was a gorgeous day and both myself and my boyfriend came back without being completely roasted. Considering how pale we both are, that was a surprise.

19. Find a signature makeup look
It only occurred to me the other day that I'd done this - I <3 my winged liner and bright lip.

20. Read 2 "classic" novels
Done and done!
Clearly I've gotten lazy with my book reviewing, haha. I've since read The Great Gatsby, Little Women and am currently marathoning my way through Anna Karenina.

I've noticed it just seems like I'm not a Jane Austen fan but have enjoyed all of the others that I've re…

Pichu Cross Stitch

My first cross stitch creation, created with KG-Chart LE.  It's a Pichu (from Pokemon), and I'm hoping to continue with this Pokemon theme through other cross stitches.  If I get around to this, I'll post a picture when I'm done =)
