The Day of 5 Things

If this is the first time you've read it, 5 Things Sunday is a list of 5 things which have made my week awesome!  I find that it's a great way to sum up the week and to look at all the fabulous things which happened, rather than just the really bad things ^^

1. Going Out
I don't go out with my friends much - I mean, we hang out at uni (for my uni friends), and we hang out at each other's places (my school friends), but I haven't gone out in a while.  Hence why  yesterday was 5-Thing worth.

It was a friend's birthday, so we went out to lunch with his family (which was paid for! Omg!), followed by (a few hours later of course) dinner at a restaurant called Amici's! Got to meet a whole bunch of really nice people, most of whom I knew their names because I'd been told stories about them, and eat a rather delicious meal.  Here in the story I bailed from the group (couldn't figure out what I'd do all night at the games lab at uni, so I figured it best to bail), and caught a train home with 2 friends.

...I'm totally sticking to my personal rule of never ever catching the train home alone late at night.  It's so creepy.

2. Practically finishing Christmas Shopping
Yeah that's right. Half way through November and I'm practically finished.  (Yes, that is totally something to boast about) I've done my immediate family, just got my boyfriend (who is impossible to buy for) and my Secret Santa extended-family gift.  Woo.

3. Discovering Markets
At work I had a student tell me that there was a random pop-up market just around the corner (literally) from work.  I can't believe I hadn't noticed it before!  It's tiny, adorable and smells delicious.  Plus the people seem to be really nice (one guy commented on my tea-cup ring, I thought he meant my travel mug. Duh. Hehe), and the stuff there is just cute.  I can't wait to keep going to see other exciting stuff that happens there ^^

4. Bagels!
When going to the city on a Saturday morning, my breakfast of choice is a plain bagel and cream cheese.  So when I managed to locate some (at long last) plain bagels, that totally made my week.  Since that was ages ago, the reason for the inclusion is this: instead of having to traipse half an hour away to get me some bagels, I actually (finally) located them at a store near me! Wooooo!

5. I don't know where I found this, but I thought I'd share it anyway...
Especially this week, this was a nice reminder.

Until next time,
-C
